Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

wow i have been fishing the same hole for humpys for 6 years i never saw a boat there till this season wich is no big deal. unless there are 100 boats wich there were but still no big deal. but when people are anchored up on a school that is boiling with humpys do not troll threw the boats to troll threw the school. i had a guy come within 7 feet of me and like 9 other boats that were anchored around the school casting into them. he trolled right over my line. im a pretty calm guy but this blaintent disrespect pissed me off i asked what he was doing and his response was its not my bay lol. im usually calm in theses situations but when the guy cut my line with his prop i lost it. i set my rod back up we got or limit then i ran right behind his boat cutting his line im not a prick but when a guy is calling you names and saying its not my water thats going over the line sorry was just pissed i didnt know if anyone else has had problems like that

Chad,
Have you seen the movie Anger Management?

Have not had this problem to that extent Chad. I mean where I fish usually in Shilshol bay there are a few boats and most keep good enough distance too not have any line cutting or gear loss. I had a guy troll over my line at Humpy Hollow and break off my gear, but its crazy up there right now! Guys just need to watch the way they maneuver their boats and we can all catch fish and be happy.

well put and mike bess trust me im not angry the guy did it knowing what he was doing when theres 9 boats in a tight circle and some one drive threw the middle its not a accident. what are you supposed to smile and say thats ok. put your self in that situation. but if you see nothing wrong with what that guy did let me know. because 9 other boats did and one of the guys cusing that guy out was a fireman maybe we all need anger management or maybe some people need to learn repect its your call but people like that need to learn a lesson

Man Huffman take a chill pill for crying out loud. I have noticed several topics related to how everyone has been wronged by the indians, commercial fisherman, or dumbasses like the one you describe. For the most part the general public are a bunch idiots- agreed. But everyone crying about it all the time isnt going to solve the problem. No one will respond to my Tuna Topic but they will for crap like this?

im sorry mike no one is replying to your albacore post its a great post its just not many tuna fisherman. and imnot crying about anything what iam doing is making people aware im not going to lie i meet alot of fisherman on the water and most of them are really nice but there are some that need to be educated. im just trying to bring these topics up because im sure it happens to other people. if we dont talk about it how do we change it. and also mike thanks for bringing up the indians agin lol when i launched at the tulalip launch yesterday there was about 100 fish lying in front of the launch with net marks on them most were humpys but i did see silvers and a couple kings it was pretty sicken seeing that many fish wasted when honest hard working people who keep a extra fish or crab are ticketed and hard but thats a story for another post thanks agin for your comments mike there aalways appreciated

Good points Chad.
First point that is spot on: Bess is very upset no one likes tuna as much as him.
Second: People do need to be educated and this is a great forum to do it.

I would like to add that if you used punctuation, capital letters, and spell check, your posts would be much easier to read. The way they are currently structured it is almost like reading a foreign language, where you have to translate in your mind as you go along.

Hey Chad,
I completely understand your frustration. Last summer I was fishing the Skagit for Pinks from shore and a boat came right next to my line and threw anchor. His anchor tangled in my rig. I voiced my discussed to him only to hear " haha, swim out here if you want to do something about it" . What he didnt realize is that me and my buddies were shooting clay targets while waiting for our "idiot bells" to go off. When we resumed our shooting and parts of targets came crashing in his area, he pulled anchor, gave us the finger and went to a different area. There are plenty of idiots out there

Unfortunately this happens a lot in the open bass tournaments as well and you would think that these guys would have a better clue but not the case.

Yes, I've had problems like that. I'm a girl and in my boat alone most of the time, I tend to feel like I get bullied. I'm happy to see the post so I know it happens to others. That behavior is inconsiderate and deserves to be mentioned to the rude boater. Not sure I would have cut his line in return, things like that tend to escalate the situations, but I certainly would have stated I thought he was rude.
