South Sound Fun

Hit the South Sound (minutes from my home) in my Boston Whaler to test out my new Lowrance HDS-8 sonar/gps. I put out the crab pots on the way to my fishing spot, and was fishing in just minutes. In no time at all I nailed a chrome bright King, and on the way back to the ramp I already had two big Dungeness in the pot. Not bad for a couple of hours just minutes from my house. The King was only about 10 pounds, but it was perfect on the barbecue today! Caught it vertically jigging a Pt. Wilson dart. Left the pot out overnight, and will pull it tomorrow after round two with the Kings.

Great job Marc! I took my best friend out today for his first salmon fishing trip, and we had some good action on Pinks. Today we fished West point just minutes from the shilshol ramp just minutes from my house. Planning on going out again tomorrow :-)
