Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I fished Banks lake over the weekend and saw two schools, of what looked like shad, in the backs of coves.  About 3 inches long, very silver, but kind of wide bodied like a shad.  Does anybody know what they were? I know they plant Kokanees in there, but I wouldn't think that they would be in the backs of coves at this time of year.  Plus they didn't seen to have the same shape as a trout/salmon.  Any ideas?

I should have also mentioned that there were in a pretty tight school.
