Saw this recently and was thinking to myself what the largest limit of all Smallmouth I've ever had in a tournament. Check these guys limit:

That's a 31.84lb limit from Lake Simcoe in Canada. Wow...

My biggest all brown limit was 22.89lbs of all Brown way back in the Tracker days in a club tournament on Lake Stevens.

What an amazing creel of smallmouth and an incredible fishery.  Unreal!

Our biggest tournament limit of smallmouth (partner Ron Ricketts) was 23.65# at the Borderline Fall Open in October, 2007.

23.65# - FIRST PLACE - OCTOBER, 2007

The month prior we weighed 22.85# in the Skagit Valley September Open.

22.85# LIMIT - FIRST PLACE - SEMPTEMBER, 2007

Mine is 21lb14oz on day 3 at the TBF divisional on the Columbia River Hood River pool.

My biggest bag off all brown was 21.86# at the Borderline Fall Open 2017, with the one and only Tag Watson.

I'm seeing trend here... Whatcom + Tag Watson = Big Brown

Make no mistake, Matt and Ron are some big smallmouth catching machines.....

Nice limits fellas. Might try my amateur hand at torney fishing next season. Hopefully newbie luck with prevail over my lack of skill.

It will be great to see you out there next season, Larrick.  You'll do fantastic.  My advice is to focus first and foremost on learning and having fun and you'll have a successful day on the water whether you catch a monster bag or whether the fish win on that particular day.  It's definitely fun to catch them well and that's what we're all striving for, but in my experience the events that I've learned the most from in hindsight were the ones where the fish won (sometimes in incredibly humbling fashion); essentially a win-win for either scenario.  Looking forward to connecting in 2018!

My best all smallmouth bag was at the 2017 BC Open, My co-angler and myself had a new BC record 30lbs-13oz bag. The fish were 5-10, 5-10, 6-0, 6-3, and 7-6. I also caught an absolute monster in prefishing that I wish found my hook on day 1 instead of during prefishing. We would have hit the 33lbs mark.....

Tell me more....about how your pre-fish catches could have boosted your tournament weight.

If I caught that toad during the Tournament instead of during prefishing for it.
