Ok, I know most of you fell asleep right after the word "study" but for those that are as deeply addicted to as I...

Can you get your "fix" (pardon the pun) from your chart plotter or do you use another platform to study charts?
Personally, if i'm hitting a piece of water for the first time, I'm looking at charts on my phone and/or iPad well in advance. That effort is partially driven out of curiosity but I'm also looking for features & structure that I recognize from other productive areas that I've had success.
I run a Navionics Platinumchip in my Simrad and the Ap on my phone and iPad so I'm looking at the same cartography across all my devices.
It's a nice feeling when you get to the grounds and while looking at your plotter you recognize what you've studied. That's where confidence comes from and confidence produces fish.
So, do you study? The fish are writing the test even as we speak....

Everyday we compete on the water, you are my enemy. At the end of the day, I forgive my enemies and prepare for the next battle.

He was the "master" that day.  One day, it will be a full-fledged "series" and Dana won't be so kind towards me anymore.

What's up with the self proclaimed potholes master video? Looks like the only thing mastered was the stroking of snakes ego! (Nice bag BTW Jake) http://gameoverangling.com/

To be self proclaimed, I would have had to have created the video.  My results in ABA and NWbass on PH have my ego firmly in check.

Excellent video Don, and good tip Jeff.  Waypoints on Potholes are funny.  Until you zoom in, it looks like a maze of oddly labeled jargon.

Jake don't argue semantics........ The video said PH master series- intro, implying the group of you were potholes masters and this was the first of a series (therefore being self proclaimed as a group)

I think that guessing, reaching and implying is counter-productive. I wouldnt read as much into the labeling of content, as the subtle and not-so-subtle content itself. I know you are just ribbing me.
Best part of that video Don posted was Zacks domestic dispute...lol...been there done that! That was a potholes giant you had Jake The Snake Anderson ...was that during the potholes open?
It was not during the open. It wasnt actually a domestic dispute. That was a joke. He was calling an urgent care for anti-inflammatories for lumbar back pain. He caught a bunch of those behind me and was tired of carrying us...
It was the M.E. Invitational. Its a little known tournament full of blowhards, has-beens and cheaters. Its gaining steam though, next years turnout should be impressive...

Hey......I resemble those remarks!

The M.E. Invitational? When I first watched the video, a very obvious question came to my mind. I'm surprised that someone hasn't asked a obvious question! I'm pretty sure that Sessler picked up on it.

Wouldn't even have to think twice.

Back to the original post topic. The quality of your monitor plays a big part in what you can see on Google Earth. The difference between my monitor on my home PC and my laptop is night and day. Better yet, link your computer to a quality HD TV------you will be amazed at what you have been missing.
