Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

First year with a boat and have had some decent luck on Washington and Stevens. It is so weird fishing from a boat versus the bank...Here recently, I haven't been able to locate smallies on Lake WA. I have however been slammin' the greenies on the north end of the lake. I am headed out on the water tonight and later in the week and am hoping for some guidance on what to look for in a location that will hold fall smallies. I am a guy that likes to figure spots out on his own, but ideas on depth, bottom structure, temps would be very helpful on a lake that is so dang huge!

went out last night for an hour or so, largies are still relatively shallow. Caught several in less than 12 ft of water. Water temps in the low 60s north end of the lake.

You need to start fishing deeper with heavy football heads and dropshots. Do you have a graph on your boat? Finding rock and fish on you graph makes it a lot easier. Go to the same areas you caught em this summer and move out to 30-40ft...good luck

Last time I was out there a couple weeks ago I caught a decent fish in 7ft of water and 52ft of water...

That's quite a disparity! I haven't been out since the 16th...bird hunting is here :) I want to get out in the next week or so. It is quite the change being in a boat, I'm just not used to not seeing my target with my eyes (fish finder aside), so fishing deep water has been tough...I will figure it out.
