First Frog Fish of 2010!
Well, if you were trying to be the first one in the state to catch a frog fish, I have news for you... too late.
That's right, a 4lb Lake Sammamish smallmouth on a Berkley Batwing Frog. With a 1oz football head that is. I'll have to check the rulebook, but this may just count!

HAHA!! Not what I expected but this might be even cooler than a largemouth with a topwater frog hanging out of its mouth! Way to be creative Jordan! Some might consider this cheating but I think it should count all the way as the first frog fish in Washington due to creativity! Very cool!!

Nice fish, great job, and as already said you where thinking outside the box. Was a tough bite yesterday, it seems you are dialed in on the fish on Lake Sammamish. Where do you get your 1 oz football jigs?

Honestly, my purpose for doing it was to prove that it doesn't much matter what you run on a football head as long is it is presented properly, and I thought a frog would prove that a bit. I am convinced it's more so about causing a comotion on the bottom than anything else. I get all my big jigheads from 3 rivers. They have some custom made.
