Getting a couple Humminbird Onix fishfinders for the boat and was wondering whats the best lake map chip. Navonics seems to have a couple more HD lakes but I read where Lakemaster maybe more accurate. Opinions ? Thanks

Both are good products, but around here it would definitely be better for Navionics because of the coverage. Also, with Navionics the maps are constantly being updated with SonarCharts from users to get even better. Take a look for yourself by going here: http://webapp.navionics.com/

Make sure to hit the SonarCharts button to get the best coverage and see what your card will see if you get one that works with SonarCharts. It will depend on your unit if you are able to get the SonarCharts. Which one do you have?

Let me know if you have any more questions, you can email m at tbrinks@navionics.com and that goes for anyone else out there.

I recently purchased navionics plus. It is worth it to get a chip that has updated data by fellow anglers who are out there mapping new water and updating old outdated charts. Navionics calls this "sonar chats" as tyler mentioned. Its easy to use as well.

Im sure lakemaster is good too. I happened to go Navionics+ and have no regrets.
