Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

A few weeks ago I posted about making your own lake map for Navionics. The Spokane Bass Club had an event on Long Lake (aka Lake Spokane) on August 9th where we had five boats logging sonar for a few hours. The results are in, here are a few screen shots of the lake with standard charts and then before and after our event.

The process is simple and the more time you spend at it, the more detail you will get on your map. Within about a week the map will be updated on the Navionics WebApp. This link will show you how to do it on various units. www.navionics.com/en/plotter-tutorial

Love technology being our friend ... very nicely done!

Very cool. I fished a TBF qualifier over there in April this year and a quality map was hard to find. Might have to look into this before my club tournament next June.
Exactly why we mapped it, no commercial maps for sale. The cool thing about this is you can see the map for free at navionics.com. Just click WebApp. If you get the card you can have it on your boat.
Will definitely look into that. Thanks Tyler.
Just click the sonar log icon to see the improve the maps and see them with SonarCharts. It looks like a wifi signal. Its addicting!
Ya very cool!

Awesome.  I'm gonna work at it.
