Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Looks like we may have a new state record, 12.5lbs. Not a lot of details or any announcement by WDFW yet.

Too late, I bought them all! Heck of a fish

well...at least that late term abortion of a record that "came from Banks" will become a distant fraudulent memory.

I'm headed to Bosworth now. Took 2 weeks off so I can camp out there.

Ha ha!!!  Love it.  Your eloquent analogies always kill me!  Well played, Snake-Daddy....

I told ya all!!!!!........ End of story

Cool story and all but damn...why couldn't it have been someone we know who has cut their teeth grinding for these western washington giants...instead we have an experienced out of town bass angler who moved here to fish for slimmers...then catches the record on a Spinning Rod & STENKO:-/

I got this last night from one of my co-workers. He said it's his neighbor in Bothell. Seems legit! Congrats to the gentleman.

That's fishing! Keep in mind, there are thousands more bass anglers in this State fishing more conventional tackle than the handful of guys I know who make it out to throw a big swimbait a few hours per month. 90% of the time when I see recreational bass anglers on the lake, they are throwing some version of a soft stick worm unless the wind is really blowing.....and for good reason, they flat out get bit. The probability that an angler soaking a Senko (or imitation) would catch a giant of this caliber is far greater just from a sheer numbers of casts/presentations per year and overall statistical perspective. Congrats to Mr. Evans. That is a whopper!!!

KOMO Story

Well, maybe this will push WDFW to actually do some maintanence at that access.  The no parking area in front of the ramp needs to be re-signed and repainted so that you can get a boat on a trailer turned around down there.  Usually, there is someone parked right in the the way of the ramp/ turn around area.  And of course, if you say something and then do launch, you run the risk of coming back to no windows in your rig.   Note that Bosworth does not allow use of gas motors (county reg, not state reg, so it can be on the boat, it just can't be used)   I have seen the monsters in that lake, not a big surprise.  Unfortunate that it aint still swimming.
