Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

If the state of Washington decided to build a new large size reservoir specifically for bass fishing. Where do you think it should be? Could you imagine another body of water like Banks or Potholes!

I always thought it would be a good idea to build walls around Tacoma and fill it with water.

Interesting concept. Would make for some geat structure, however the "carp" would have an early head start in the food chain.

I say flood the entire valley from Sumner to Renton.  Kind of a canyon type reservoir.  LOL.

There is talk of another big reservoir over east. Either up Hawk Creek off Roosevelt, or out toward Odessa from Ephrata. It's a long way off and not primarily for fishing I'm sure.

I think it should be on the West Side.  I think the fish would have the possibility to grow bigger, less harsh winter is my reason.  It would need more than one trout plant a year, and no triploids.  All the great species like Potholes, and abundant.  I just hope it would have some sort of homes on it, love dock fishing ;-)

If I recall correctly there isn't a proposal for a res. out by Odessa, they are proposing to pump water out of Roosevelt to irrigate the perennial streams in the Odessa area that are dry from over use of the aquifer.

There is a Proposal for a new Res. in the Yakima River canyon though...
