It would be nice if there were more tournaments like this in the state. It seems like your options are fish small club tournaments with 10-20 boats or you fish the bigger tournaments that are very expensive. I have two first place finishes in 4 ABA tournaments that I have fished, but honestly I didn't have fun. I was under so much pressure because I could barely afford fishing in them.

The Pot Holes open is around 110 boats and is truly a good time. The cost is around $100 a boat, and you don't have the feeling that you are fishing to pay your bills, and no one else out there is eather. I enjoyed the competition but not the Hyper competition that you would find in a bigger tournament. I guess that is just me, and maybe my plea that we see more tournaments with that sort of format.

Solid Post! This is the only tourney that I fish, it really is well organized and is lots of fun!

Duece and Chad are the team to beat their weights were really impressive!! very nice win guys!!!!

Congrats on a strong finish Doucet/Edison !! A 30lb plus bag is very impressive to say the least .. We had fun over there and it was good to fellowship with everyone . This will be a annual deal for us for sure now that we got our rookie year in the books :)

Thanks everyone, it was one of those days when everything just went right. This is my favorite tournament of the year, very well run, great raffle and sponsor support. I am so happy to hear Berkley/Pure Fishing step up with tons of great raffle prizes and rods/reels for the top finishers. Make sure to support these companies through your local retailers if at all possible. Ironically, most of our fish came on Berkley products, both the Powerbait and Havoc lines. They seemed to be all over those baits and didn't let go!

Congrats guys on the win. It was my 25th time to fish this event and have had three 5th place finishes in a row there. Just couldn't find the bigger fish on Sunday.

It was my first time and I'll be back for this one next year.  Really well run and fun event.  Congrats to Chad and Jordan and I must say honorable mention to the day 1 leader with approx 29lb stringer of smallmouths (6 fish) very impressive bags. That lake is truly on the up phenomenal weights! Can't wait for August out there!
