Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

So my wife and I just moved, we bought a house 5 minutes from Rapjohn and 5 minutes from silver lake, right in the middle!!! so im wondering, has anybody put much effort into rapjohn and or silver lake??? I stopped by rapjohn on the way home to look and saw some little 3 to 5 inch largies at launch. first thing I did when we moved in, I finally installed that freakin sweet largemouth bass mail box that's been sittin in the old mans shop for years! Heck Yeah!!!!!

Be prepared to get your shit stolen!!!!

Rapjon has been known to have some good lmb in it, also some stud crappie. But I cant tell you if that is still the case. The meat fishermen can really devastate a lake that small. Cant speak for Silver, but if you drive a little farther to Alder, there are some true pigs in that lake.

ok thanks! looks like ill be holdin my pole and my 12 gauge out here lol  that's why I have 5 acres covered in woods...... tweekers can be buried easy in this ground ;)

well, its my birthday... iam now in the 30 class lol. so I took the day off work, grabed the boat and hit rapjohn lake for an hour, caught 2 and missed 1, spinnerbait and crankbait action was on!!! anyway, crappy launch!!!! almost got stuck out there!!!! btw, just little 12 inchers! but always fun!

I go out to Silver on a regular basis. The frog bite is really good there. Leave the launch go to the right all the way to the end. There is lots of old docks mixed with pad fields, etc. Throw a floating frog and 65lb braid on a stout rod that you can twitch and have fun. Mornings and evenings are the best not surprisingly. There are some really quality fish there. Keep a throw back bait like a weightless senko blue/black laminate at the ready.  Haven't spent a lot of time on rapjohn lately.

Cool thanks!!! im gonna have to pound these 2 lakes for now. with the new house and car for wife, I wont be able to afford to run the outboard anywhere on any lakes lol strictly trolling motor for now!!!

I grew up fishing rap John and surrounding puddle lakes. The water sets up great for frogging, but the best bass I've caught out of that lake was pitching black jigs around the outside edge of the pad lines. Also had success pitching tubes, and obviously weighted senkos.

oh heck yah! its been awhile since ive done some giggin for them toads! lol you mean topwater, I was thinkin of frog legs fryin in the pan! I cant wait to get the old john boat and go old skool for awhile! its also been nice out there, I cant remember the last time I chucked spinnerbaits and crankbaits all day with no plastics at all! biggest so far has been a pound and a half, just fishing at an hour or two at a time.
