The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I've had this posted in the Musky forum but was advised to post it here for more visibility. Probably a good idea.

If Craigslist has a stolen section I would put it there too, Sorry to here that this happened to you Mark. I drive past your place every Friday morning and saw your boat was gone just thought you got it sold.

I got a call from the Auburn Police this past Thursday nite stating that my boat and another 7 - 10 boats and trailers had been recovered on the Muckleshoot Indian Reservation just outside Auburn. A ring of Native Americans are suspected. Not a single motor was recovered and most wheels/tires were missing from the trailers I'm told. The Officer that contacted me said he and his team would be spending the whole weekend working on the evidence looking for clues. These are all at Valley Towing in Auburn, WA. Got a call yesterday stating that they're finished and the items are released to the owners or insurance companies. I was told that the only thing left in my boat was the carpet. It's going to be totalled. I hope the insurance co is fair as that boat was extra clean and super sound mechanically.

Keep an eye out on Craig's List etc for various pieces of electronic equip and tackle, mainly musky tackle. And rods and reels etc.

A big "Thank You" to everyone that spread the word for me.

Thanx, Mark

I'm very sorry for your loss Mark, I am sick to my stomach thinking about it.

There are tons of things I want to say about all of the WA tribes but I'll bite my tongue...

The Tribes never entered my mind when I thought about who did this but this has sure pust a sour taste in my mouth. And the fact that they're almost untouchable via our judicial system. American citizens that cannot be tried by the American judicial system. That makes me sick to my stomach. And for the rest of the folks that have suffered similar loses and unfortunately, those that will consequently suffer loses in the future because of the simple lack of accountability in this country.

Cmon Nick don't hold back. Tell us how you feel.

There was a news piece on KOMO last week about a man who had his bay boat stolen.  He had a  security video of the two clowns doing it--hacking through the padlock, backing their truck up to it and towing it away.  The man used the boat primarily for taking underprivileged/sick kids and their parents on fishing excursions.  His boat was found on the Muckleshoot rez as well--stripped.  I thought these idiots made enough on their casinos to keep themselves happy.

My boat has been a C.A.S.T. for Kids transport 3 times over the years. I enjoyed every time.

From what I'm told, this theft ring is huge and good hard evidence is being compiled to put them away for a long time according to the detective in charge of it and his phone call to me a couple days ago.

I wished him and his team luck and I hope I'm lucky enough to see the whole thing wrap up on the evening news one day soon so no one else has to go thru what we're going thru right now. The paperwork is endless not counting the heartache.

I was also informed that the Muskleshoot Tribe is suseptible to "OUR" judicial system. Now that's good news.

That's great news.  My boat was vandalized a little more than a year ago; I caught the moron passed out in my boat.  The cops caught him, I was ready to go to court, but there was an outstanding warrant on him, and he cut a deal with the Prosecutor.  I know it doesn't compare, and my boat is obviously not up to the level of yours, but I can relate on the anger level.

If a tribal member breaks a law off the reservation they are subject to our laws. Now if you had the boat on tribal land and this happened you would have to go through the tribal courts. You should be good to go on prosecution if they know who did it. Part of my city coverage is on tribal land.. get to deal with it allllll the time. Best of luck and hopefully insurance covers it completely
