Washington Fishing

Spent a short time trolling on Stevens this morning and picked up a few kokes. Had 9 hook-ups between 10 and 35 ft. All strikes came on wedding ring/dodger set-ups tipped w/corn.

This one had the privilege of being the first in the cooler this season.

Good looking fish...

I'm still kinda new to the area and have tried to catch these guys here on american lake, but still have not figured out what the heck I'm doing. I'm still hoping to have a few pictures of my own some.

Weddingring and corn you say, I'll try that combo tomorrow......thanks

On American you have to get down to where they're at, which lately has been around 50'. Many people use downriggers. From time to time you can pick one up trolling in the top 20', but typically they hang out deep.

I going to try it tomorrow if the traffic slows down a bit. I have riggers so maybe I try one on the rigger and another flat line.

thanks

Since water temps are higher now, you're best bet is to go deeper using the downriggers. However, you could always try flat lining first thing in the morning with better success.
