This is the tournament I participate in. Good friends having fun for a good cause.
John is a good friend.

In honor of his brother who drowned during a boating accident on Lake Mohawksin on July 25, 2004, John Mayer, right, of Elk Grove Village, Ill., presents a $500 donation to Dave Galloy, head of the Tomahawk Rescue and Recovery Dive Team, and Tomahawk Fire Department Chief John Peeters, far left. The funds were raised through proceeds from the Musky Nutz's annual Tony Memorial Musky Tournament, which is named after Tony Mayer and this year was held on Lake Mohawksin. Chris Erickson, Tomahawk, and Gary Myshak, Sugar Camp, tied for first in the contest by each boating a 35-inch fish. Each year, the winner of the tournament decides what lake the tournament will be held on next, and proceeds raised through contributions and raffles are donated to a local non-profit organization. "We wanted to show we appreciate what they did for my brother and our family. We were very thankful for all their efforts," said John, who has been vacationing in Tomahawk for many years and has a cabin on Lake Mohawksin. Galloy said the department would be using the donated funds to replace equipment for the dive team.
