BBC Lake Whatcom Fall Open results

BELLINGHAM -- Matt Krumdiak and Tag Watson took first place at the Borderline Bassin' Contenders Lake Whatcom Fall Open with 19.34 pounds of smallmouth.

Justin Johnson and Keith Brooks took second with a 16.90-pound bag. They also weighed the big fish of the tournament at 4.56 pounds.

Brandon Thomas and Bill Ducker rounded out the top three with a 15.64-pound bag.

Anglers fished through a cold front and steady rain, with the air temperature dropping nearly 10 degrees from the previous day.
