BELLINGHAM -- Tyler Wasilewski and Aaron Weinberg caught a smallmouth limit of 15.88 pounds to take first place June 11 at the Borderline Bassin' Contenders Lake Whatcom Open. Their 4.10-pound smallmouth split the big fish pot with second-place finishers Mikee Snoose and Dan Haddrell, who weighed 15.28.

Sun Butma and Choi But rounded out the top three with 14.93 pounds following a dead-fish penalty. They edged fourth place by 0.01 pounds.

Next up is the Lake Whatcom Summer Open individual tournament Aug. 13. Drivers meeting is 6 a.m., weigh-in 3 p.m. Buy-in is $30 for club members and $45 for nonmembers. Off limits starts the Monday before the tournament.
