BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Thong Pun and Choi But notched their first win of the season May 21 at Borderline Bassin' Contenders' Lake Samish Open with a five-fish limit of 13.44 pounds. Their 3.54-pound smallmouth took the big fish pot.
Tyler Wasilewski and Aaron Weinberg took second place with 12.13 pounds following a dead-fish penalty, and Matt Krumdiak and Kristine Krumdiak took third with 12.12 pounds.

Anglers experienced tough postspawn conditions for what's normally a spawn tournament. Most teams had mixed bags of smallmouth and largemouth.
Next up is the Lake Whatcom team open June 11 at the Bloedel Donovan boat launch. Cost is $60 for member teams and $90 for nonmember teams. Drivers meeting is 6 a.m. and weigh-in is 3 p.m. Contact info@borderlinebassincontenders if you have any questions.
