I think at this point you've got to ask yourself - would you take the team of Watson/Hastings to weigh in another giant and take it down, or would you take the field?

Funny story about the Lake Washington event. We took a vote in the morning on fishing 8 hours and 7 hours or 9 hours and 6 hours as some guys would be doing Easter with their families on Sunday. Watson/Hastings as well as a few other teams voted for the 8 hours and 7 hours because of the incoming funk on Sunday they thought they would have a good shot at largemouth. So if the vote would have went 8&7 that fish would not have been caught as it was caught 30 minutes into hour 9 of day 1. The 6.20 that Brandon Thomas weighed Sunday would have took the Big bass honors. Believe me when I say we gave Tag/Mike a hard time about it. And as Tag has stated all their other fish weighed in were beat.

The field for sure, but we'll fish hard and put in our best effort. Looking forward to a fun weekend.
Ha ha....we deserve a hard time for that one, Chris!

All in good fun of course, but back to back W's definitely turns heads!

That's a freakin' awesome story. Thanks for sharing to the entire world, I'll do my part to make sure they don't forget that sometimes the Tag Big Bass Jedi senses aren't always right!

Congratulations to Mark Maderos & Jake Cook for winning the Limit Out Marine Moses Lake Big Bass Tournament Trail event this weekend. The winners took home over $4800 in prize money as well as incentive money from Phoenix Bass Boats. Thanks to the 46 teams who came out to fish this event.

Lots of hard work in prefish, a great partner, and a little luck went a long ways for this one.  I had only fished Moses Lake 3 times before.  For prefish, I covered the whole lake over two weekends, mostly looking at different water, some fishing, and mostly experimenting with different patterns.  Tried everything from topwater to deadsticking.  We wound up throwing senko's at dock's for most of our bigger fish.  Big fish came from a dock that Jake skipped to 4 different times.  Changeing angle's and depth of the skip's.  She finally hit, deep under the dock.  Jake pulled her clear of a boat lift, and 2 dock poles to get her to the boat. That's the luck factor,  you can never control what a big fish is going to do under a dock.  We lost another giant on Sunday.  This time the fish tied us to a dock cross member.  That's the bad luck.

It was a really well run tournement, and thank you to everyone for the well wishes.  Means alot to me.

Mark
