The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Just received word that Nixon's Marine has purchased Northwest Bass. Nixon's is also opening a new dealership in the Tacoma area near Bass Pro Shop. Rumor on the street is they will be pushing Triton and Ranger boats from the new shop. Walla Walla dealership will continue as normal. I'm sure that we will be hearing more over the next few weeks. This should create some buzz --- HAPPY NEW YEAR.

I talked to Jeff also, all true! Looks like a great year coming up.

MORE coming soon>>>

Bill

Glad to know that NW Bass is in good hands.  Thank you Gary & Lisa Stiles for all your hard work and promotion of an amazing circuit.  Wish we could have participated a little more, but glad to have the opportunity.

Jeff,

I'm hearing that a few schedule changes are on the horizon. We will just have to wait and see what the new ownership plans for the season. Sounds like Willie Nelson (not the skinny, pot head hippie with an ugly beard) will be heading up the new dealership in Tacoma. Willie is a great individual and I extend my congratulations to his new position.

Now that I have the topography of potholes burned into my brain ( because that's where we were going to start the season ) I guess I'll start staring at potential staging areas on my Banks map...

I'm interested to hear more on the schedule changes, any more word on what those might be?

Same here on the schedule change.  I need to get reservations lined up so I have a place to park the RV.

I think Jeff will have the details of the schedule changes out soon.  I spoke with him last week, and I like what he's doing with the schedule and NWBass.  Just speculation, but I think the majority of the schedule will stay the same, with the opening event switching back to Banks.  He also mentioned an added event to bring the total upto 5, with AOY points being the top 4 (drop one.)  In my opinion, the changes are all good, and it's comforting to know that the circuit is moving forward.

I hope the potholes is thrown back in there somewhere.

Thanks for the heads up Jake.  I am liking what I'm hearing.  I have no doubt that it will be great.

Interesting that the change is to go back to the norm with the early banks tournament. I am a bit biased, but Potholes seems really attractive when you look at the weights it takes to win there now using the potholes open as a sample size. It could legitimately take 25+ pounds of green or brown or a mix to win. Seems like Potholes offers the best chance at some really impressive bags.

On the flip side, I understand its all about drawing boats, and if there's a change bacause banks will draw more numbers I totally get it, but are there that many people that would not do the first tournament at Potholes or was there so much push back on that one that forced a change? Just curious.

Does anyone know if the tournament that is being added is in July? Trying to plan a July family vacation and I do not want to overlap it with NWbass. Any insight into that or when the new schedule will come out would be appreciated.

Nevermind I see they just updated the NWbass website
