I'm meeting my brother in Tri Cities in a couple of weeks, and he is interested in going after some walleye while we're there. I know there's walleye throughout the Columbia Basin, but does anyone have any insight on the Tri Cities area? Does anyone even use this board any more??

Saw an article from 2010 of walleye being caught in lake Washington, looked here on wafish, and found a discussion from same time period but it sort of petered out pretty quickly. I was wondering what came of this, is the walleye population increasing? Are they gone and the few fish caught were simply an anomaly? Ive been searching on Google and bing but I can't find anything new so I figured id post my query here instead and hope someone here has been following this a bit more closely

Greetings Walleye Friends, is anyone out there targeting our favorite fish? I hope to be at Banks Lake around the first two weeks of May. At this point my intent is to approach the fishery no different than last year: Punchbowl, Barker Flats, Hole in the Wall, The Poplars, etc... In addition, I guess my presentation approach will be the same too: Troll with Walker/Harness/crawlers (live and artificials). I might even try some Blade Bait vertical jigging for a change...

I sure would love to get some current news regarding how others are approaching the fishery this year please. I value the groups feedback...

Happy New Year fellow Walleyers. Now that the ice is off Banks lake has anyone been hitting it and if so is anything with buggy eye’s been hitting yet?
I was wondering if there were any good places to go shore fishing for some walleye around the eastern part of the state, or if you for sure need a boat any where you go.

My husband and I have moved the last child out and now IT'S OUR TURN! We want to go fishing THIS March for walleye. So of the Eastern WA lakes where and when. We have a 16 ft alum boat and we can do Lake Roosevelt down to Potholes resev. with not any problem. We fish the Clarkston /Lewiston area for Bass A LOT. But never went Walleye fishing. So any help would be great. We have an outboard motor so no FAST water for us.

I had good luck with the Cha Cha fishing for walleye on Moses Lake, but wanted to give the lure a second chance to prove to me that walleye really liked it. Well, they do. For the second weekend in a row this walleye rig from Mack's Lures in Leavenworth kept pace with everything else we used to catch walleye on a couple of pretty tough days. I was fishing it behind a bottom walker rig and baited it with a crawler. I was impressed with how the rig performed and I would recommend that any walleye angler have one in their box and give it a run sometime.

So I've fished the punchbowl about every year since the last drawdown 93-94. I had not fished it seriously prior to that season. Therefore, I honestly don't know what affect it had on the fishery. In my opinion it has been a healthy fishery but then again I may not know what the hell I'm talking about either. What say you???
