Last summer we spent two months at West Point training the cadets during their summer validations. Not too far from where we slept was a lake which name I cannot remember. This lake had the best largemouth fishing I think I could ever say I witnessed. All we had were $20 dollar combos we bought from the store on post, cheap worm hooks, and stupid sticks and lizards. We weren't allowed to wear civilian clothing, so we had to fish in either ACUs or PTs. The number of 25 fish days was amazing, and most weren't under three pounds, with this being the biggest and we never fished more than a 100 meter stretch of shoreline. The things I would do to be able to go back with a swimbait rod, a 250, a rat, and a few hudds.
