Johnny Walker wins Lake Shasta National Guard Western Series stop #1 !

I'll start by saying I got a little wordy!!!!

Momentum is a wonderful attribute to success. Success, I was told by someone once is when preparedness meets opportunity. With all that fluff out of the way, I won the 2010 Lake Shasta FLW Western Series event!

Clear Lake Top 10 Experience and missing the CUP... (no biggy)

Well... a Top 10 finally!!! I felt after falling from 30th in the AOY ranking to 35th at the Delta that I needed a Top 10 finish to make the FLW CUP... I did finish in the Top 10 but in 10th... so wasn't quit good enough and I finished 22nd overall missing the Cup by 2 spots! Still I feel good about the year but I look back at all four tourney’s and the missed limits all add up in some fashion to a 4-5 lb difference in 22nd and being a 20th place FLW CUP QUALIFIER! California Delta Lesson Learned Again-

Last year I fished the FLW Delta tourney and finished 15th after being in the top-10 on the second day. I drew one of the best on day 3 "Bobby Barrack". I had been fishing a similiar bait to the pro for the 1st 2 days and not catching a limit but catching quality fish... and long story short I caught one fish behind the man... learning experince to say the least. I should have realized he would catch all the quality fish and I should change my strategy to catch some smaller pattern fish.

That's a $75.00 LURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Thread for talking about losing lures) Me first!

Well, this is simple story about my line snapping last week and my very expensive Triple Trout flying out in the water.... with that said I also went in the water after it in about 4' of water at a local park in Tacoma. (I was just trying a new real and rod combo) no luck after an hour of freezing my behind off! People were standing around asking my girlfriend what I was doing and saying "look at that crazy white boy!"
