Finally got the skunk off. I left him on Lake Tapps and will be back in December to pick him up for the winter. Only got two bites, both from the same fish. Gotta remember to set the hook. Picked him up in 3 feet of water, temps in the low 50's mostly. Only had a short time on the water, but I'll be back for more soon! He went 2.5lbs and was hungry for a new a Daquiri.…

I'm heading to Mayfield Lake Easter weekend. I know that it's early for Muskies but I'm going to try. Also has anyone had early Spring success for bass or trout. Any tips and locations would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

Anybody have any secrets they'd want to share on pre-spawn walleyes?

Last Saturday: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 PM Sumner; open to all anglers:
I don't know who had more fun: The Chapter volunteers who worked so hard to put on a good show, or the big crowd who came to learn from the Northwest and Midwest's BEST!
Larry Ramsell was one of a kind; what experience and what a memory; worth the wait to finally get to meet him. He is as awesome and as genuine off the water as he is on.
Kudos to Muskie School…

I'm looking forward to this great bass tournament again this year. I love the way it's run. Non-competitive and fun. The camaraderie is the best and the crew that's put it on the last ?30 years are great.
I'll be heading over this Sat and Sun for some early season pre-fishing and some walleye fishing while we're there. Craig is going with me this weekend.
Anyone else fishing this event?
Anyone going to be there this weekend?

There's not a lot of them but what I've caught a real nice ones. I've netted a few for other anglers in my boat also. Some of the good ones have come on musky spinnerbaits and bucktails but I've targeted them this early with soft plastics and caught some nice ones. My best at Mayfield is 4lb 2oz.
Anybody else fish smallies at Mayfield? How do you fish for them?

They were on their way to Lk Terrell and stopped to visited a bit. Maybe they are on the edge, but I'm sure they are heading in the right direction. Really they are full of knowledge and I learned alot in our short vist.
Thanks for you time, you didn't call me w/ a report.

Lake Havasu- 2009 Western Series Tourney----didn't go as planned.... It was my first time on that water and struggled to catch 2 bass the first day and 1 each additional day from the back of the boat. I learned a great deal from the FLW Pro's and even though I finished 66th overall I feel like I made some positive moves toward qualifying for the FLW Cup next year... we'll see, I'm looking forward to the Delta as a final tournament for the year after finishing 15th last year in my one and only…

How can a guy get a list of tournaments around and who can fish in them. Thanks.
P.S. I was a bit suprised the see the boat working the weeds so close. I thought it was too early for that ???

I was in Auburn Sports the other day and noticed a gentleman buying his 09 fishing license. It was a good reminder to me since I hadn't bought mine yet. I did when this man was finished paying for his.
I just thought I'd remind you folks to get yours also.

Hey guys, has anyone seen or even been on Lake Stevens or Lake Goodwin yet this season? I might get a chance to get the boat out and hit one of them in a week or two and just wondering if anyone has been out yet.

2-FER: 2 lakes in two days.
Silver Lake near Spokane on Sat, May 30th and Newman Lake on Sun, May 31st.
We're hoping to get the opportunity to fish with some Spokane local folks, make new acquaintances and have some fun.
This is an OPEN event - meaning there is no membership required to participate. A small $20 entry fee covers the pay out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes and permit costs.
Any questions, PM me or email me.

I didn’t realize how small it was until I saw a photo with me in it. A big fat guy in a little boat. Oh well it was fun now I need to work out a few bugs. Need to move the front seat back behind the live well. Bow was way too low and very tipsy as one could imagine that far forward. Cabel’s live well worked great. (But not sure how to drain it) Trolling motor performed well, and of course, the Interstate Battery had all the power I needed.
Now I need to know how to catch Bass. Had…
