The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

If you havent heard of this event yet, no surprise!  This is our second year, and we hope it will be a great one!  The Triple Fish Challenge will test your skills in the pursuit of Rainbow, Smallmouth and Walleye.  Each angler may wiegh in one of each species, and the awsome prizes are given for the largest fish in each spieces, and the largest string of all three!  There are two classes of competion, youth (14 and under), and adult. The lucky angler with the biggest 6 fish combined wieght for the two day event will win a 4 person inflatable boat with a 2.5 Yamaha outboard.  You may have up to 4 people in your boat, if it can handle it! Each person is fishing for thier own limit, so it would be great for you and your kids to spend a fun day together.  Entry fee's are low, low, and every youth angler gets a super tackle pack just for signing up. So, check out our web site at,  (www.grandcouleedam.org) Then click on annual events, then fishing, that will get you to our rules, registration and poster if you would like to "put it up".  Hope to see you here April 26th and 27th, just to see if you are truely Tough Enough!  Oh, just so ya know, the trout fishing on Banks is hot, and the Walleye are on the move as well.  Trout are in the top 10 feet over hard bottom areas or near steep shorelines, the walleye are from 25 to 50 ft. and are eating jigs, spinners and rapalas behind bottom walkers, and some nice ones are taking Gulp gobies on drop shots.  Bass are still a bit lathargic, but by the end of April should cream cranks, jerks, grubs and tubes on main lake primary and secondary points!  Just a little, TRUTH AND TAILS from lou at Coulee Playland Resort.
