How dare you bad-mouth this stretch of the river? Bob Akers already told us it is some of the best SM fishing in the world.

chelan falls can be really good when the river is up, i have snapped off fish in there that were over 4 lbs and have seen bigger but you have to go there when the water is up

I mentioned I fished that area a couple weeks ago and had basically the same result as you. There is a lot of bassy looking water but I couldn't find a fish. I got the same info as far as Chelan Falls being about the only consist area to catch smallies but I didn't have time to explore it for myself. I will get back up there and check that out next time.

this stretch of water can be good in very small areas, the best places are below the dam and around chelan falls and in around deroga state park, other than that i have not got fish anywhere else in that pool
