The Bass Group is a "discussion forum". It says so at the top of the topic list and where you have the option to "start a discussion".
Topics like this are better suited for that format because people can respond to each other's comments rather than leave a string of unconnected replies.
Probably kind of confusing for a muskie fisherman.

Just curious: Why should this be posted as a dicusssion? Do you mean under the 'bass group' or what. I don't know about any 'discussion' area on the site.

Cody, Try running your plastic up over the eye of the hook and thred a small length of heavy(25+) line thru the bait and eye of the hook
This should really be a discussion but a screw lock on a straight shank works well also. Just ask Tag.

Marc, good idea with the heat shrink tubing.
Myself, I like Owner EWG style hooks for flippin/pitchin. They are already heavier than most other hooks of comparable size and are tempered harder in my opinion than any other hook on the market.

Cody yes we all know you flippin do need help...haha... oh and my 2 cents... skip gap hook or a jig if you are flipping heavy stuff
