Anyone know if the county is now charging to launch at the North County Park?
Last year,I believe they didn't start charging until the end of April...just curious

Their website says: http://www.co.pierce.wa.us/pc/services/recreate/LakeTapps.htm

$75.00 - Pierce County Resident Boat Launch/Parking Pass
$150.00 - Non-Resident Boat Launch/Parking Pass

I got mine for $50 last year. No booth as of Friday 04/10/09

I'm certainly glad you didn't damage the bollards..whew!

If I remember correctly, you could buy a pass at the North County Launch for $50 in person. Never paid for one though...The city of Bonney Lake bought mine!

Careful with the bollards...

Unless the lake is "Full Pool" you risk taking a hit to the oil pan if the bollards are running. Better yet, stay away from Lake Tapps. Everyone knows that there is no fish in there...only the ever popular Stumpfish, and they only eat props.

No early opening means I'm not buying a pass this year. I'll try my luck with the bollards (and cheaper pass) for an extra couple hours of fishing time.

County pass is the way to go. Still no booth yet but I'm sure it will be up soon or
by the trout opener.
Thanks for the information folks...much appreciated

You can buy a Pierce County pass for $75.00..I'd advise buying one. A few that got in early and didn't pay....

I heard yesterday that they will be charging more this year and due to budget cuts Denny will have no help this year and they no longer will be opening the gate early for fisherman.

Full pool per the lake agreement with Cascade Water Alliance is 4-30, therefore that's when they start charging is what I heard....
