Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I was out pre-fishing Moses all weekend. I ran up North because I had never been up in that area. The farther north I drove, the more clumps of crud I saw. While fishing I could see mud clumps floating up to the surface, coming up from the bottom. At times I could always see at least one clump floating up. What the hecks the deal ? The North end will likely get pretty murky when those clumps break apart from all the boat traffic or wind I'd imagine. Is this normal for the lake ??

Sesspool, Besty, and Potthead are a bunch of donkeys. If Jordan removed it then it wasn't too clever. Thank you Jordan for keeping the toolbags on a leash. Oh and just for the record sporadic is a word, but sporatic is not.

It does look like that Josh. I think I'll taste it this weekend.

Chris,

I have seen this stuff too but only at Moses. It's almost like peet moss coming up off of the bottom. I know it isn't but that's what it looks like. Weird stuff. You should try a peice and see what it tastes like. I'm sure it won't kill you.

There doesn't happen to be a large number of septic systems in that portion of the lake? That along with a heavy influx of water could cause some interesting "algae" formations.

I'm with Bess. If Sessler wrote it and it's about Delay then it's probably worth reading and may just turn another Tuesday around for one of us.

This happens every year as the water temp rises and occurs in the north end of the lake. For the "genius" above, it's a wierd type algae and have never seen it on any other lake. I think there is a correlation between Rock Ford and this phenomenon. Sporatic turnover is what I call it......
