Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Guess this site allows us each to have a blog so we can share info and news with others...so I might as well get started. This week marks the beginning of the 2009 tournament season, with the Freeze Your Bass Blast on Sammamish this Saturday. I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to it, though I have not even seen Sammamish yet this year. I suspect the docks are under water as usual?

This tourney is really a fun event, and very well run. It is always nice to see all the usual faces, and the new faces, and you can bet most will have smiles. If you ever thought of trying a tournament and seeing what they are all about, consider fishing this one. Although the fishing is often tough this time of year, it really can be anyone's day to shine. And a single bite could be worth a fast $1,000 if it is the day's Mama Pesce.

Hope to see you there!

ciao,
Marc

The only reason I don't sleep before the tourny is because I have too much tackle to sift through, I actually have problems not falling asleep.
I think a lot of guys are really amped for the 2009 season, with gas prices down from last year, we should be able to finally buy that one swimbait we always wanted, new rod or reel, or just be able to make it to the lake more often.

Sleep, I don't need no stinking sleep. I plan on coming straight from the firestation and putting the big Nitro in and spending the day catching.

Marc,
I'm with you man. I've been forutnate enough to be on the water almost every weekend this winter, just building up the anticipation for the first tourney. I better get sleep thursday night, because friday night could be one of those pre-tournament nights. I can't wait to get 2009 tourney season started!

Docks are actually out of the water now, we have had limited rain up here since the big rain in december.
