The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

This last weekend (21st-23rd), we had more action on Banks!  The walleye were on the move, with more small fish showing up at the boat.  Depths ranged from 28 to 55, but the majic seemed to be at 45ft give or take a few feet.  Some anglers had very good days, check out the Macks lures site for some cool in the water photos.  Some perch were also in the mood to bite, sometimes mixed in with the walleye, I'm thinking that may be a dangerous place for a perch to be.  Water temps slipped a bit down to a 39 degree average, but warm rains are on the way so that will likley change.  Trout are closer to the spawn on Banks, so some bigger females are showing up now.  Limits were common for many.  Rufas walleye slowed down a bit, try 35 to 50 with blades or jigs.  Roosevelt trout still going strong in the top ten ft.  Also getting more good walleye reports from the Hawks Creek area with spinners and jigs taking fish from 35 to 80 ft.  Should not be to much longer and those fish will be making a serious move to the rivers to spawn.  On a personnal note, got my old Stratos wet this weekend, and I'm still having to figure out whats up with this 1988 looper duece.  Maybe carbs, or maybe a stator, but so hard to start.  Once running, rpms build slow and may fluctuate up or down several hundred rpm.  No missing, just a bogged down feeling.  No ethanol issues here, only top grade fuels thru this one, so if there is an Erude guy on the east side of the hills who likes to tinker with loopers, let me know.  When she runs good, its a great ride, just to far in beween those good days now.  Just a few Truths and Tales from lou at playland, tight lines!
