What's a good 24 pitch 4 blade prop for my 200hp Mercury? Its on a 20 ft Triton . I have a 25/4 on there right now.

another factor is the trophy is a 4 blade and the tempest is a 3.  but I think the timing was the main issue

OK Yeah FYI the timing was off by 9 deg so that was the prob.

OK I'm just starting to get this prop figured out I've only taken the boat out a few times but I'm gettin the hang of it. I just needed to goose it a little to get her goin to develop some slip. If I slowly ease into the throttle there is no slip and the prop likes to hang the motor up at 3,000 rpm. I took it out friday night after talkin to a master Mercury service tech, and drove it like he said I would have to; and it worked great. there is just no easing into the throttle. He also recommended th Tempest. I think that's what I'll get Thanx guys

I also run the 25 Tempest Plus on my 200 Opti.  Nice thing with the Tempest is it has the adjustable vent system so that you tune in your hole shot by changing out the vent plugs.

ya but I think That motor has more low end than the 200efi. I got a brand new power head on it so its not the engine its the low end torque I think. Thanx Troy

trimmin it up a lil works too but on the low end the engine is workin too hard I can tell. the prop is brand new I'll trade it or sell it if anyone is interested.

seems like too much of a pitch; kinda gotta crank it to the side to get a lil cavitation some days I f i take off it likes to get hung up at 3g's depending on alt/humidity/temp. crankin it to the side to get some cavitation works tho to get her goin. My engine doesnt have alot of low end torque .
