thats all they had, but damn those are some impressive weights right there. i know we fished hard all day and with the help of an extremely late flurry ended with ~12lbs. 22lbs makes that look silly

Congrats to all who did well! I fished as hard as I could all day and didn't even get one in the boat! Quite a contrast from last Sunday where fish were murdering jerkbaits all over the lake! The warm weather, bright skies, lack of wind, and fishing pressure all demanded extremely finesse presentations and I am guessing that my finesse wasn't finesse enough. I can tell I have a lot to learn about Lake Washington! Even when im drop shotting I have never found a need to go lighter than 8lb. line anywhere else in the state! I am guessing that with the exception of first thing in the morning, drop shotting with extremely light weights and 4 lb. fluorocarbon was probably the way to go yesterday. Apparently I wouldn't be the person to ask though! LOL
It was tough fishing yesterday. We landed five and lost one big one (I only weighed four because I forgot there wasn't a 12" minimum) for about 11.5lbs.
I am pretty sure the fishing was that tough because Parnicky sore mouthed them all during pre-fish. Good job Dave.
LOL! I guarantee this was hardly the case. Thank god im going to be at Banks for five days this week! I don't care how small they are, i just want to go catch some fish after the big confidence boost on Saturday! ;)

It seems like there were some real good bags put together. It was my partners first ever tournament and he really enjoyed it. Lets just say it was a good day to learn from mistakes and a good day to be out on the water. We pulled up the year with one Rat (Banks Lake look-a-like) fish. But you know what, I sure as heck learned a lot and know what to look for next year. Good job to all the high finishers!!! Anyone headed to the Jamboree?
Its is amazing sometimes what weight guys put up in tough conditions. Sometimes I just feel retarded when it comes to bass fishing. There is a large difference between the average bass fisherman and the seasoned tournement fisherman, those are some mighty big sacks on the first three finishers......:)
I will be there Nick, maybe I will see you over there. I started a new thread to see who was going because I know there are people on this site who would love to see this thread get clogged with unrelated posts!

I completely agree Zach! It is unbelievable how consistently some of the same names are able to catch HUGE bags of bass regardless of how tough the fishing is! I hope someday that all of the time and money im putting into my bass fishing helps me get to be better than the average bass fisherman. In my mind there isn't much in this world that would be more fun than being able to go out and catch big bass more often than not. Retarded is an understatement to how I felt on Saturday!

Eric,

If only you had that jacket to go with your glasses.
The top two bags were all largies that is even more impressive! The largies in that lake are so hit and miss, worse than the smallies.
Grimes and I learned just how hit and miss those Lm are. I was personally super happy for Andy. His partner is a really good friend of mine. He couldn't come over because his little sister was getting married that day. Andy has alligator blood running through his veins but he was pretty nervous that morning.
Those are definitely some awesome weights. We dumped about four pounds and went home licking our wounds. We lost two good fish at the boat. The one was a strong four the other around two - three. All I can say is that lake flat out kicks my ass, but I'm not giving up yet.

We did slay the trout, I caught a big squawfish and a pumpkinseed about the size of a silver dollar. I was hoping to catch four more and weigh them in.

Congrats to the big bags, it lets the rest of us know how much harder we have to work.

You guys have fun at the Jamboree, those fish will be red hot!
This is the first time since I've been fishing this tournament that all largemouth have won it. However, two years ago the winners did have 3 largemouth. Are you going to tell us about your last second heroics Ron? I heard there was some hootin and holarin going on.
