The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Hey guys, this board is getting a little boring, I want something to read!  This post is all about your favorite couple fishing memories that you have made over this last year as 2011 winds down, I have been reflecting about all the fish caught and memories I have made over the past year.  So lets hear them.....how you fell in the water, you caught your PB, you caught the most or just a outing that was special....basically the fishing adventure that you will never forget!

Mike Hastings has had this memory for the last 2 years. Thanks OHOP Lake!

definantly not Ohop

Especially Merhtens

WHAT THE HELL WAS MY WIFE AND GIRLFRIEND DOING ON OHOP WITH HASTINGS?

I AM NOT HAPPY!

It was a classic story I will let Mike or Tag tell it.

I don't fish as much as I used to so I appreciate being out every time.  I would say the top three for 2011 would be:

1)  Going to Alaska with my dad and brother on a 3 day fishing trip.  We chartered a float plane that took us to the fishing lodge and we had an awesome time.

2)  TBF NW Divisional at Hood River:  Running in the roughest waves I have ever seen on day 3.  I ran over a swell at the bottle neck by the Dalles that was every bit of 12' tall.  Working together during pre-fish and putting together a good tournament with my NW Bass team partner, Wes Wezenberg, and both of us qualifying for the 2012 TBF National Championship.

3)  The Banks Lake BASS Federation Nation Qualifier in June:  I prefished all day Thursday and found some good fish.  I headed back home Friday morning so I could see my sons kindergarten graduation Friday night.  I headed back over to Banks and got in the motel about 1AM.  I woke up a few hours later and went out and had one of the best days I have ever had on Banks lake.  I caught 14.5 pounds of smallies and won day 1.  Got a good nights rest and caught 14.3 on day 2 with a second place finish....fun tournament!

If thats your wife and girlfriend you should get the ANGLER OF THE YEAR AWARD! HOLY CHIT!LOL

Well fellas, I can tell you this. Thank goodness for the G-Loomis 8 ft. power stick. It works well for summer dock fishing. 2 flips, 230 lbs. This probably has to be one of my best summer fishing stories ever. Tried to convince Jeff to use this as a new Skeeter promo.

I would say this thread has to be the best of the year. I have had more LOL's on this than any other thread.

Hey chris , Well Looks like the  2012 TBF National Championship will be on  Bull Shoals in Arkansas ...Good luck to both you Wes !!

Thanks Dez.  I fished the 2009 TBF National Championship on Bull Shoals as a boater and was in 5th place after day 2.  I didn't qualify for day 3 because Brandon Craner was ahead of me.....stinkin' Idaho guys!!!!  Next years championship is almost the exact same time so the pattern should be similar.  I've never been in the back of the boat at Nationals so it's gonna be a challenge not having any say where and how we fish.  Wes is going to practice down there for a week or so and I have a ton of waypoints for him to check out.  Hopefully it gets him started in a good direction.  I bet he whacks them!
