I seriously doubt that this event will cease to happen. But as Willie stated, we need to make some adjustments so that it ends up serving the purpose that it's suposed to, which is funding the Take a Warrior Fishing event.

I also think that Chad is right about holding it on Sammamish. As much as it seems logical to evaluate every venue for this event, and ALOT of people have expressed that they would like it to be on Washington, Sammamish just seems to be a very good fit for this event.

We have a year to evaluate the data, and revise our strategy.

Now we move on and start working on this year's Warrior event.

So far it's looking like JULY 13th will be the date. For all those volunteer boaters who help us with this event, feel free to contact me any time to put your name on the list for this year's event.

Big thanks to all the good folks that help us with these events!

Maybe a little pressure on anglers to support something that gets the cabin fever off, but more importantly helps get a soldiers mind off the stresses of protecting our country?

Maybe i'm not paying attention, but I had no idea this tournament was for a cause.  Most non tourney anglers don't pay much attention to tournament details and causes.  Perhaps that is a cause that would get guys like me off the couch and into a tournament.  Also, in line with the idea of growing clubs...maybe this is a tournament that gets weekend anglers into the club scene and ultimately into tournaments.

Getting that message out to both tournament and non tournament anglers would probably grow things a bit.

Definately a pre registration, and also a blurb about the cause on that flyer would be good starting points for increased participation.  If you have a pre-reg, at least you will have an idea of how many are signed in.  You could really pump all the clubs and internet sites for participants if numbers were low.  I was thinking this tourney had 30+ boats every year.  What the heck else is there to do in February?
