Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Sorry it's taken a while to post this but WBA will be hosting the annual Club fish off again this fall. It is going to be held on Sunday October 27th on lake Sammamish. The lake is off limits from Monday through Saturday prior. Registration will begin at 6AM. Launching from the state park so have a discover pass for all vehicles. The entry fee is the same as the past $250 and it's per club. Each club can only fish 5 boats and a maximum of 10 anglers. The tournament format will remain the same with option pots for teams to enter if they wish. There will be a raffle afterwards so bring a little extra cash. Hope to see you there!

I managed my way into it this year to again fish for the WBA. Looking forward to a repeat performance from last year. If you ain't first your last!

Come on now... Where's the two time champs at (Evergreen)? I can always count on Chad Simon for some half ass effort to smack talk? Or what about some guys from North End, Castmasters or Puyallup? Are you really going to just sit aside and watch us win again this year without any kind of retort?

By the way - For those of you that know me, you know I don't typically talk any trash, but this tournament always seem to be good for a little ribbing to help stir things up and keep them exciting.

WBA won last year and I barely caught anything! I'm due to have a good day at the fish off at some point! When that happens, we won't just win, it will be a blowout!

Evergreen wins every other year right? Which would make this one of our years. I think everyone realizes this, and that's why there's no banter...

We've got some secret weapons, some low profile folks who are fishing really well on every lake they go to.

Enough said.

Hey P.J. - Just wanted to confirm that Northend club is in with a full 5 teams.

Working on putting a team together from Western...

Puyallup has 5 full team as well. I feel sorry for you Jordan and the tournament has not even started yet. Our team is loaded with heavy hitters!

Wanted to give some specifics since the tournament is next weekend.  Registration will begin at 6 AM.  Drivers meeting will be at 7 with blast off at same light probably around 7:30.  Entry fees will be accepted in the form of check the day of, but the winning club will be paid out in a check as well.

Tournament headquarters is Lake Sammamish State Park.  Discover Pass IS REQUIRED!

All teams entering the tournament must register because boat numbers will be given out.

$250 Entry fee per club

$20 Big Stringer Option Pot per boat
$10 Big Fish Pot per boat
80% Payback

The winning club will be determined by the clubs total weight divided by 5 (Average Weight).  Minimum number of boats is 3.  If a club enters with less than 3 boats their total weight will be divided by 3.

Are any of the Eastern side Clubs coming? It would be nice to see them participate in this. It is a fun event.

WBA is going down this year guys!!  By the way... if you see a boat of guys wearing fake mustache's, crowding your spots, catching your fish, putting them in the livewell but not showing up for weigh in... it's defiantly not me:) I will be at weigh in sans mustache, hive 5-in' my fellow Hawg Hunters after some ass whoopin's are served!

Well first I would like to start off by thanking Puyallup Hawg Hunters, Castmasters, North End, and WBA for coming out to the 2013 Club Fish Off.  This year we only had 4 clubs out competing for the title, and it was WBA for the 2nd year in a row bringing it home! Every team grinded through a day of tough Lake Sammamish fall fishing and braved the threat of 40mph winds, and that's AWESOME! The team outcome went like this

1st. WBA with 30.25lbs after 1 dead fish penalty

2nd. Puyallup with 22.91lbs after 1 dead fish penalty

3rd. North End with 17.56lbs

4th. Castmasters with 17.18lbs

The Individual outcome went like this

1st. Tony and Troy of WBA total weight 12

2nd. Shawn and Kevin of Puyallup total weight 11.20

3rd. Mike R and Steve of WBA total weight 9.66

4th. J. Lind and S. Gutsalo of North End total weight 8.92

BIG FISH Honors went to the team of Byron and Pat from Castmasters

I want to be sure and thank all of our sponsors for providing such an outstanding raffle. 3 Rivers Marine, Limit Out Marine, Wave Away, KGM Custom Baits, Fisher Brothers Baits, Sniper Lures, Kevin Jones with Sunline, Big Bite, and RatlTrap, Bass Pro Shops, and Fetha Styx.  If you guys don't support these companies you are way off line.  These are the guys keeping bass fishing going in WA!

See you all next year on Lake WA a bit earlier in October for a WBA 3peat! Evergreen, Western, St. Helens where ya at??? Come on out next year this is a fun tournament and we really missed ya this year!

Just wanted to say thanks to P.J and everyone that showed up.It was definetley a tough bite,we managed 5 solid bites and were able to get them all in the boat. Looking forward to Washington next year. I'm gunning for you Lafranco!
