I've volunteered to take two kids fishing this spring. I don't have my boat anymore so I need to take them bank fishing. Any ideas for a location where they can keep busy with panfish. Lake Washington(preferably Kenmore to Juanita) would be great but I'm open to any thoughts. I've been fishing out of a bass boat for so many years I'm out of touch. Thank you in advance for any suggestions. Good fishing.

University cut, between Lake Washington and Lake Union, make sure they are wearing life vests as the current is strong and the footing is only so so! Smallmouth Bass! Drop shot! Any of the walkways in that area, weightless Senkos will work, WDFW enforcement is there everyday.
Great idea Mark! We'll give it a try. Thanks.
I would say the cut would be better than Seward Park. You wont have to deal with weeds in the cut. In many parts of Seward Park you will have a hard time casting past the weeds to get to where the fish should be in the spring. According to my calculations, the rock bass should be abundant through the cut come this season. I would keep it simple and drop shot night crawlers. Timing wise, I would hit it mid April-end of April, or hold off until the first of June.
Thanks for the ideas Chad. I really appreciate it.
Great suggestion Elijah. We'll probably start in a few weeks. The weather's starting to warm. Once I get them started, it'll be a continuing thing. Thanks for the idea.
