Interstate! Just get a 27 or 29. Just remember to charge it every few days especially if you know I'm coming!

I run a Trojan group 27 and love it! Takes a lot to run them down.

I've had a Interstate 29 since May 2011 and I'm just now starting to feel it die a little. I got a new 27 to replace it cause I can't stand carrying that heavy bastard.

Trojan 225. All day baby! Does the wind blow where you fish? Do bears scat in the basement?

Bet your tookus they do.

Snake I live on the Potholes, I appreciate all the information kind of a chevy/Ford question was just wondering if there was a way better option are the gelled AGM batterys better for this I fish almost every night Thanks again for the info!!!

Olmsted, get a DEKA. Go see Chris and he'll show you.

Mark,

This info is a tad dated (2011) but its a decent side by side comparison. http://www.trojanbattery.com/pdf/TrailerBoats_batteryguide_201105.pdf

To Nick Berto's recomendation, Deka is the only battery besides Trojan 225 that I can see on the chart that has a Reserve Capacity of 225 minutes and is not "insanely expensive". The deka looks like a great value.

Thanks for the help and suggestions

Mark

Get 2 6 volts, like they use in golf carts better than any 1 battery out there, run them in series will last longer

I agree w/Ron. Best way to go if you're going to stay 12 volt. Hook em in series and charge em in series. Probably never run em down in a day with a 40# thrust.
