Ben,

Legal action is exactly what this will require (and some illegal action). I've got a few ideas, I will give you a call. I'm also willing to put my money where my mouth is and donate $$$$$$$$ to help fund the right attorney that would be willing to take this on.

We need to form an alliance with all interested warm water sports fishermen, so we can organize our efforts. When I say warm water, I mean fishermen that target ALL warm water species. We are all under attack and need to build an alliance with large numbers, so our voice and actions cannot be ignored. We also need to encourage fishermen from states like Oregon and Idaho to join this alliance. This will take some dedicated effort by everyone, I believe we could make this happen!

I was talking to Marcantonio the other day...He mentioned hiring an attorney and suing the WDFW.  That's what really will make them take action.  If we could find a way to sue....Does anyone know an attorney who would do pro-bono work for this (or know an attorney), or perhaps be willing to help fund a GoFundMe account?

Dana,

Thanks.  I am also willing to contribute, as is TW, and the Columbia Basin Bass Club.  I could get a quite  few members to chip in our club, tap the club fund, in addition to the Richland Rod and Gun Club....Do a mass-spread on Facebook and on this site and the GoFundMe might substantially add up.  I think guys are completely willing to drop a hundred bones or more each...multiply that times 50 and we're talking about a little cash to really get the ball rolling...We could probably retain an attorney for that amount.

Question is....What attorney?

The more of us that get involved the stronger we are as a group. I'm making some calls, emails to attorney friends this morning to see what kind of attorney we need to keep this from continuing.

I was personally responsible for helping get WDFW to change the largemouth limit for tournaments on Banks where you can bring in 5 of any size as long as they were all released. That took a little while but it got changed.

Every warm water fisherman needs to get more involved in this fight against our rights being taken away.

Amen.  This has been a hotbed for discussion for years.  Even fly anglers and salmon/steelhead anglers can align with this, it's one very big thing that all angling groups in this state can get behind and not bicker on.

I feel that the #1 problem in the state of Washington is 100% the Indians. I truly feel like there ancestors would be absolutely ashamed and discussed with them. I sure know I am. They are creating a hatred towards them self!!!!!!!!
