what are folks using for mid depth cranks? Mid depth to me is 10-15 feet or so. I need something to crank the outside weed edges. Locally, I am having no luck finding much, either shallow runners or dt6 depth baits is all I am finding.

I would recommend the following:

  • Luhr Jensen Hot Lips (1/4 oz)
  • Norman Deep Little N
  • Strike King 5XD or 6XD

All of the above for sure Plus the Storm Arashi Deep 10 or 18.

DT 14, Ima Beast Hunter, 6XD, Norman Deep Little N to name a few.

With the other ones mentioned.. here is a couple of my favorites.

6th Sense Crush250 , Cloud 9 series,

Thanks, quite a list

Strike King Series 3 and 4.  They also make silent version as well as a rattling version.  Another bait to look at is the new KVD 300series jerkbait. It dives deeper than any other competitor.....

He's ALIIIIIIIIVE!

I'm not sure I would call him alive. Maybe a faint pulse with hope.

I ended up tracking down some Lucky Craft Flat CB-12s for a smoking deal. Now I just want to find a few 5xds.

Thanks for tips

+1 on the sixth sense and 5XDs. As mentioned above, I would also check out some deeper running jerkbaits as well as try tossing a paddletail swimbait on a swimbait jighead to allow you to make a longer cast and help you keep the bait down for a prolonged amount of time.
