Anyone seen this review?  Makes me wonder about proper uses of fluoro and why we all say it stretches less?

Yeah, I read that review.  It made me more cautious as to what brands stretch more than others, and how their properties changed with use.  I mainly use fluoro for finesse plastics and getting them down without aid of weight.  Most of my bad experiences with top rated fluoro, I believe, had to do with repeated aggressive casting and stressing of that section in the line over time with the combination of water in the mix.
i think the biggest thing to worry about with any line is to change it out. to many people i know use the same line way to long and wonder why they have problems. personally never had an issue with p-line its beeen good to me unlike other brands.CHANGE YOUR LINE OUT YOU MIGHT BE SUPRISED!!!!!!!!!!!
Good find. I find it difficult to accept the stretch tests when the only load subjected to each line was 3lbs. For a supposed experienced material scientist, I can't explain why the loads weren't varied, since stress is almost never linearly related to deformation (think of a rubberband or a spring). The knot test is also kind of weird, since it said that FC varies drastically by brand, but that FC has poor knot strength because one unamed sample showed poor knot strength. Although this is definitely something to think about, I wouldn't put much faith behind the findings. I have noticed that InvisX stretches alot more than other FCs, which does correspond to the data given, and I also agree with the improved knot strength over most FCs, so maybe there is something to this. The "hardness" of FC lines seems to make a difference in their behavior in general, since it seems "harder" lines have worse knot strengths, but decreased stretch. In my opinion, "harder" lines also seem to knick up worse than softer lines, but that has absolutely no scientific evidence.
studies or not do what works in the field. if you have a certain brand that is $3.00 for 140 yrds or $35.00 for 140 yrds if it works it works........................................
I seen the review a while back, makes you think, but it kind of enforced a couple things that I already thought like knot strength and listed pound test.
