Lake Tapps reopens to fishing

Action: Reopens Lake Tapps to fishing.

Effective dates:  June 20, 2015.

Species affected: All fish.

Location:   Lake Tapps (Pierce County).

Reason for action: Water levels are high enough to allow safe access to the lake.

Information contact: Tara Livingood, WDFW area fish biologist, (360) 628-4223.

Fishers must have a current Washington fishing license, appropriate to the fishery. Check the WDFW "Fishing in Washington" rules pamphlet for details on fishing seasons and regulations. Fishing rules are subject to change. Check the WDFW Fishing hotline for the latest rule information at (360) 902-2500, press 2 for recreational rules. Interesting..glad it is open to fishing. Though CWA said no motorized vessels yet. Open to "passive recreation" like swimming. Hope East Pierce County Fire & Rescue is on alert cuz you know its gonna happen. Water is still coming in. Cold ass water. Not as much as there was coming in but still.

Lots of areas still not any water to put any type of vessel in the lake. The Inlet area is still dry and you could run a lawnmower over the grass growning up.

Some clown fished Tapps on the 6th and caught a little musky. When the lake was closed to fishing. Posted a informative story (sarcasm) on the other fishing site, moron.

 

 

Launch at North Park is open bitches....!

$15 to launch.. $100 for a year pass for Pierce County residence..didn't ask about the price for all others, sorry.
