I totally agree Russ...I always get in these ruts...the only reason I tried it was because my buddy pj mentioned it to me the day before...after not catching anything on the hudd 68 and jig all day that idea popped into my head and turned a crappy day into a great day!

Funny, you get into these ruts and start to forget about stuff, like how many fish you've caught before Football heads and Wacky hooks.  I use the same setup for Skullfish.  Never caught a single fish until I did.  I think sometimes it works to an Anglers's advantage to do so cause of retrieve speed-rod angle-habits etc...

You can do almost anything with that bait Russ...I was texas riggin it with a 1/2oz tungsten
