What a day...

Hey guys...

So my dad, my brother, and I headed out to Silver Lake, (Spokane County), for some bass and maybe a musky. We started off by getting just a couple bites, nothing much, so we moved to the other side of the lake, and my brother had one small bass on for a couple seconds, but then it got off. We decided to head back to the launch and eat some lunch. After that, we headed for a cove almost straight across from the launch. We were fishing in there for a few, when i…

Hey guys!

Everybody ready for a great year of bass fishing? I know that I am! I have new goals for 2010, and I hope I can accomplish some of them! I can't wait to get this year started off tomorrow! The first day of the season is usually one of my best days of the year. I don't know if this is because the bass are hungry and are seeing our lures for the first time this year, or whatever. I am heading out to Clear lake here in Spokane county, a lake that usually produces…

Eastside '09

I had a decent year this year for my second year of bassin'. I think i did pretty well at about 45 fish, give or take a few. My biggest fish of the year was about a 3.5 lber out of Liberty lake in the late summer. I only began bassin' last year, and have caught close to 100 bass this whole time, averaging about 2-5 bass per trip. I really only hit the lakes close to Spokane here, such as Liberty, Long(spokane), Newman, Silver, Clear lake, Roosevelt, etc. I love these lakes around here and think… Continue

Long Lake has been really tough the last couple of weeks. Not any different from every other lake this time of year. I have been catching a few in the am on topwater baits. After the sun gets high I will etiher go fish frogs on pads or flip pockets of shade. This is the time of year where you find out what kind of fisherman you are. Anyone can catch fish in the spring but good fishermen can still catch them during the post spawn. I have my days but I am a long way from becoming a good fisherman.
