First fish off Terrell !!!

I just got off Lk Terrell with my new friend Brandon and He helped me catch my first bass of that lake. Thanks alot Brandon. It got wet and cold, but it was worth it.

Why is it the teacher always catches the biggest fish?

Time to Up-size

Well the Interstate Battery boat is up For Sale. I bought a 16' Glas-Ply that I will convert to a nice Bass/Bay boat that will be big enough to fish out of and take others out. I am putting a Butt seat on the bow. I am also adding a fishing platform and will put a live-well and storage under there. Then I'll be ready to take a couple of you up on your offers to go out with me and teach an old dog a few new tricks. I took my son and two friends (all… Continue

They were on their way to Lk Terrell and stopped to visited a bit. Maybe they are on the edge, but I'm sure they are heading in the right direction. Really they are full of knowledge and I learned alot in our short vist.

Thanks for you time, you didn't call me w/ a report.

How can a guy get a list of tournaments around and who can fish in them. Thanks.

Thats awesome.  Glad it works for you.  And also glad to see it stay within a group of people I know.  It should run like a champ.  I never had an issue with it.  Jason barely ran it.  21 fish....wow.  Did you flip the silver beach area on the weekend or Monday? Try some jerkbaits in the flats.  Last night was great for this.  Hope to see you on the water in the near future or partner up.

check the last blog I wrote, it says exactly the jig i use most in these western waters for the finicky cold water jig bite. You wont be disappointed. If you end up going to the website...go to jewelbaits.com
I use the 3/8 oz heavy cover jig they offer in the peanut butter and jelly color. Good luck to you.

We struck out at Clear Lake Sunday. Threw the whole tackle box but no takers. Talked to the 4 or 5 other boats and they had the same result. Makes me feel a little better when everyone else is having the same luck...none. I think the high pressure after the monsoon we had on Saturday really turns the bite off. Still good to be out in the boat.

Hey Jim, Saturday is still a go so far. I've fished Terrell several times and though I'm not a hardcore tourney fisherman like a lot of guys on this site I can still put a few in the boat on a regular basis. The battery deal you offered sounds sweet but I'm just lookin to wet a line with another bass fisherman. If that sounds good we can meet around 7-7:30 a/m
