Lake Havasu

Lake Havasu- 2009 Western Series Tourney----didn't go as planned.... It was my first time on that water and struggled to catch 2 bass the first day and 1 each additional day from the back of the boat. I learned a great deal from the FLW Pro's and even though I finished 66th overall I feel like I made some positive moves toward qualifying for the FLW Cup next year... we'll see, I'm looking forward to the Delta as a final tournament for the year after finishing 15th last year in my one and only… Continue

How can a guy get a list of tournaments around and who can fish in them. Thanks.
P.S. I was a bit suprised the see the boat working the weeds so close. I thought it was too early for that ???

New Fishing License

I was in Auburn Sports the other day and noticed a gentleman buying his 09 fishing license. It was a good reminder to me since I hadn't bought mine yet. I did when this man was finished paying for his.
I just thought I'd remind you folks to get yours also.

Any fish caught yet?

Hey guys, has anyone seen or even been on Lake Stevens or Lake Goodwin yet this season? I might get a chance to get the boat out and hit one of them in a week or two and just wondering if anyone has been out yet.

First time on the lake with finished project boat was at Lake at LK Terrell

I didn’t realize how small it was until I saw a photo with me in it. A big fat guy in a little boat. Oh well it was fun now I need to work out a few bugs. Need to move the front seat back behind the live well. Bow was way too low and very tipsy as one could imagine that far forward. Cabel’s live well worked great. (But not sure how to drain it) Trolling motor performed well, and of course, the Interstate Battery had all the power I needed.

Now I need to know how to catch Bass. Had… Continue

Reposted Deep Water Bass Release system w/ URL

Instead of fizzing the fish, would this be a good alternative? The link option didn't work so here's the URL site: http://www.outdoorproshop.com/Shelton-s-Fish-Descender-Deep-Water-Fish-Release-p/sheltons_fish_descender.htm

Side Imaging Sonar

Has anybody had an opportunity to put side imaging to the test? What do you like and what do you not like. I'd like to hear some first hand experiences and maybe see it in real time before I invest in a unit. With Lowrance as an option now, can anyone help shed light on the adantage of Humminbird vs Lowrance?

Need a bass buddy

I have been an avid bass angler my whole life. I've lived here in Queen Anne for 13 years and am originally from Baltimore. I am a research scientist at UW and am a photographer and skydiver. I am embarrassed to say that I have just discovered in the past two years that there are actually BASS on this side of the mountains. I have fished Kapowsin a lot and have done pretty well but I'd like something a little closer to home------like Lake Washington. I'd love to hook up with someone to show me… Continue

Learn Lake Washington Bass

Hey everyone. I would like to thank Jordan since I'm new to the site. Everything I have read is very helpful and makes me really pumped to get out on the water this spring. I am kinda new to fishing the West side of Washington, but am not really new to bass fishing (have been doing it since I was 13 now am 19 mostly, on Potholes and Moses and some of the seeps in that area). Would love to spend some time on Lake WA in the back of someone's boat since I'm not really able to devote the money or… Continue

New to area

My wife and I just moved here from Nevada and we are very anxious to get into some great northwest fishing we have always heard about. A friend of mine that I am working with told me about this site and said this is the most informative fishing site to look into. We have always fished small streams and creeks but we would very much like to expand our fishing efforts. Anyone looking for fishing partners?

OK, What's Your Favorite Lure For Numbers?

Mine would have to be the 1 oz Ducktail spinnerbait in black. Could be just because I throw it more than most other blade/hair baits but since spinnerbaits are more weedless, I can throw it more places.
The 'big fish' question didn't draw much attention so maybe this one will. I'd sure like to hear from everyone on what they like to throw and how they work it.

How Many of You Work Gliders?

My favorite glider is a 6" Bikini Bait Co Turmoil but I also like Phantoms. I probably throw a glider 1/2 the time I'm on the water and have been pretty darn lucky with them. I like the satisfaction in working a lure to the action you think is right and then have a musky hammer it. I get plenty of satisfaction from catching muskies on other lures also but not near as much as I do from 'walking the dog' with a glider.

Musky Group and Forum

I noticed recently that there are many new members joining Wafish every day. Some are avid musky fishermen and some are just merely interested or curious. Don't be shy - make sure you join the Musky Group! You don't need an invite - just click on join and start getting involved. The more suggestions, tips, questions and ideas the better! Not to mention the Bass Group outnumbers us by roughly 100! I know we can do better and I also know we have some bass enthusiasts with us already. Musky… Continue

What's Your Favortie Lure For Big Fish?

Just trying to ge a feel for what you guys like to throw for that big girl you've seen but haven't been able to count yet.
I think my best big fish bait so far has been a Ducktail Lures bucktail. What's yours?

First Cascade Musky Association Meeting was a huge success!

I just wanted to thank everyone who showed up for the first CMA meeting! Even though I am stuck in Korea I heard it was a great showing and especially wanted to the guys from the WDFW for taking the time to go and speak "esox" with everyone!

Hopefully someone from the group will post some pictures from the meeting.
