Update on Randy Saso-Shaw and his brain cancer

The swelling has gone down in Randy's brain enough to start tapering him off of his steroids. Just in a weeks time, his wounds have started to heal. Randy is also walking more upright and is using his cane more. His pain level gets less as his wounds heal. We like to see these…

Moving to Eastern Washington

I was offered a job back home in Walla Walla that should really help me progress in my career. Due to the economic climate at my current job and the excitement of moving back to my hometown, I will be taking the position and starting August 30th. I am going to miss all of my fishing friends in Western Washington and look forward to making some more fishing friends in Eastern Washington. I am going to miss all of the great small lakes in Western Washington but I look forward to…

Lake Washington access

We decided for our second trip in our new boat to do Lake Washington. I've read many gripes about amateur launching and I've done it only a few times myself, so what place is the quietest for beginners to launch into Lake Washington?

1st day out w/ my first boat

Hit Lake Sawyer at 6:30AM. Around 52F and overcast and misty. Headed south and got skunked for 1-2 hrs. Tried every lure in the box. Jake finally got a bite with the Texas rigged green and white Yakamoto worm. Caught in the lilies -- nailed two more -- nothing worth keeping. Good times!

My last wish for my grandson losing his battle with brain cancer

My 21 year old grandson was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, grade IV, the deadliest and most aggressive form of all cancers. He is deteriorating more every day and I would like to take him fishing for a half a day or less. I have no boat but a kayak and he would never be able to get into that.

I'm willing to pay someone for their time to take both of us out in a boat and possibly his little sister too, (11 yrs old) for some quality time while he can enjoy it. He's…
