I was over at Banks this weekend for family time so didnt fish much but did notice the fishing was slow, I fish the Valley marine tournament every year which only a week and half away but the fishing is usually better. I found the bigger smallies deeper (12-15) but tough to get. How did you guys get your fish if I may ask.

Shoot 22 was the smallest we have had this year. We had 34 at Moses and 32 at Potholes, and the club is up to 72 members.

Congratulations on your win Ben. That is a good turnout for a club tourney. 22 boats is more than we had at the two ABA tourneys I fished this year.

Everyone has been saying Roosevelt is getting a little better. Personally I am sort of tired of fishing Banks in July. The last 2 years all it takes is ten pounds to win. I guess I just think there is some better water like Chelan to fish. I don't know about Roosevelt though. I have never fished it, but it doesn't look like a lot of fun to me.

We had a 6 fish limit, and it was a jack and jill T. There were a few 13-14 lb bags, plus one bigger by a WAFish member here. 27 lbs for 2 days took the win. Congrats to the Dovers, also on this site.

We launched at the Northrup boat launch. We were staying up spring Canyon and saw all you guys heading down to the launch in the morning. What sort of weights were you guys weighing in on Roosevelt. There is a lot of bickering in our club as to why we keep fishing Banks in July. It has sucked the last 2 years in July.

What launch were you guys using ? My club was fishing Roosevelt camping at Coulee Playland.

Congratulations!! I got to hand to you and all the other tourney guys. I wouldn't have a clue on how to play at that level.
