A couple of months ago I was fishing from the shore and happened upon a crankbait. A Mann's 15+ to be exact, with no paint, covered in dirt, and rusted of hooks. I picked it up and said, hell, I should repaint this. So I did.
Too bad I didn't make sure the bait worked first, cuz it don't. After a lot of reworking of the bill, its close, but not there yet. I knew I could do better though, so I ordered some blanks, snagged some old baits, and started painting. These are the four most recent cranks, one RC 2.5 in Green Shad, two wiggle warts in Spring Craw, and two Jackall MRs in Spring Craw. I'm still trying different variations of the patterns to see what I like/works best.
Let me know what you guys think of em. The pics are a bit distorted, but what the hell.
UPDATE:
I caught a 3lber on my first trip out with the Jackall hinged type baits. Very cool, it hit like a freight train.
